Saas-Fee lies nested between the highest mountains of the Swiss alps on 1800 meters above sea level. 13 majestic 4000 meters high mountains surround the village like a shell and thus give the it its unique name ”The pearl of the Alps”. Visitors travelling by car from the north travel via Bern through the Lötschberg tunnel (car-train), from the east via the Furka pass (or car train) and from the south via the Simplon pass (or car train). You reach the Saas Valley from the west of Switzerland via Lausanne and through the Rhone valley to Visp.
Visitors travelling by train travel to Visp and change to the post bus with the direct destination ‘Saas-Fee’. There are half hourly connections until 22.40 pm from Visp (Friday and Saturday 23.40 pm). Seat reservations are recommended for the return journey to Visp and Brig (SBB).

Car-parks / citizen passport
Saas-Fee is car-free! Upon arrival you can leave your car in the covered car-park or at the outdoor car-park at the entrance to the village. Drop your luggage off at either terminal A or B and check the number you are waiting at. Call the Hotel Allalin from the nearby public phone and tell us your exact location. We will come and pick you up in an electrically-powered taxi and then you can start to enjoy your holiday without your car!
You will be given the Saas-Fee citizen passport, which entitles you to a reduction on parking fees from the 2nd day upon your arrival in the Hotel Allalin.
